We come to you with tools and parts. Broke down on the highway, stranded at a rest stop, or parked at your yard, we handle the repair on the spot. Diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, and more.
Mobile diesel repair means a mechanic brings the tools and parts to your truck and diagnoses and fixes it where it broke down, so you skip the tow.
Air manifolds on diesel trucks wear out and fail. We replace them, test your boost, and make sure the engine breathes right. Mobile service means we come to your truck.
Air manifold service is inspecting, testing and replacing the manifold that routes air on a diesel truck, so the engine and air system hold the pressure they need.
Check engine lights, rough idle, loss of power, or odd sounds: we plug in the scanner, read the codes, and tell you what needs to happen next. We come to you and get straight answers.
Truck engine diagnostics means reading the engine computer's fault codes and then testing fuel, boost and electrical systems to find out exactly what is causing the problem.
What should I tell you when I call about a breakdown?
Start with where you are: the highway, direction of travel, and the nearest exit, mile marker or cross street. Then give the truck make, model and engine, whether it is loaded, and what happened right before it quit. Read off any warning lights or codes on the dash. Mention any smoke, noises or smells. That helps us bring the right tools and parts the first trip out.
Can every diesel problem be fixed on the roadside?
Not every one, but plenty can. Sensor failures, air leaks, broken hoses and belts, clogged fuel filters, water in the fuel, and many turbo and manifold problems can be handled where the truck sits. Major internal engine or transmission work usually needs a shop with a lift and room to tear down. We tell you which kind of job you have before any work starts.
What are the signs of a failing air manifold?
Common signs are a hissing air leak you can hear with the engine running, low power when the truck is under load, boost or air pressure warning codes, and black smoke from too little air for the fuel being burned. On some trucks, air pressure that builds slowly or will not hold also points to a leak at a manifold or its fittings. Any of these is worth checking before it gets worse.
Is it safe to keep driving with a bad air manifold?
It depends on where the leak is. A leak on the intake side cuts power and can run exhaust temperatures up, which is hard on the turbo and engine. A leak in the compressed air system can affect brakes and suspension, and air brakes are not something to gamble on. If pressure is dropping or the truck derates, pull over safely and call.
Why is the check engine light on in my diesel truck?
On a modern diesel, the light can come from many systems: a failed sensor, a boost or charge air leak, low fuel pressure, or trouble in the emissions system such as the DPF, EGR or DEF. Some faults just set a code, and others put the truck into a derate to protect the engine. Reading the codes tells us which system to test first.
Is reading the codes enough to find the problem?
Usually not by itself. A code points to a system or a circuit, not always to the failed part. A low boost code, for example, can come from a leak, a turbo problem or a bad sensor. That is why we follow the codes with real tests: fuel pressure, boost, wiring and a visual inspection. That way you replace the part that actually failed.
